Korean Q&A
Aion’s client size?
It will exceed 6 GB. (there are cases where some foreign-developed games size up to 18 GB)
Specs required to play the game?
Geforce 5700 should let you play at 20 FPS. Of course, it would be much more enjoyable with a better spec
There were 200 initial testers. How do you increase the number of testers?
Undecided.
How long will the CBT last?
We’re expecting to continue CBT to next year. We’re not entirely sure of when to start the open beta test yet.
Aion Client

For anyone who wants to actually download the korean aion client you can so…by downloading this file, which i have hosted on megaupload.com
Lots of Post
There is gonna be lots of post in the next few days, as alot of new information has been coming up for aion. I will try not to squeeze alot of info into one post.
Q&A, Round 3
13. How will larger game updates be implemented?
There will be big, regular expansions once or twice a year. How they are to be distributed depends on the area.
14. Will weather be affecting game play?
This feature has unfortunately been dropped. Weather will however affect some NPCs and monster spawns.
15. In terms of content, what will be done to prevent Aion from being “just another grinder”?
The problem with Asian games, we believe, have been a design which is not overly complicated – very basic. With the exception of Japan, RPG’s have until recently not been a mainstream game type at all in Asia. In order to introduce players to the genre, games were deliberately made rather simple in their design. At the time, it was probably the right decision, as it introduced many new players to the genre. The demands on a game and its amount of content have, however, risen substantially lately in Asia. To survive on the market today, a very high amount of content is required. Due to this, it’s not an option to make “just another grinder”. Players need other things to keep them occupied while developing their characters. We have approached this issue partly by putting more focus on quests, allowing people to pursue professions and gather resources, and by incorporating an advanced combat system.
16. What will be done for Role-players?
Except from the extensive character customization, Aion will have a wide array of emotes to be used in various situations. We also plan to put some fun and cute “items” in there that don’t have much actual value except for role-playing. Other activities that could appeal to the role-players out there are resource gathering, crafting and of course cooking.
17. Will there be specific Role-play servers?
Not in the Asian market, but if this is deemed a good addition in a specific area, it’s up to the service provider in that area.
18. Will there be specific quests for guilds?
Yes, it is being considered.
19. Will there be statistics available online, outside the game?
We are still working on what information will be available for others to see. Character stats, guild status and castle/guild hall control are some of the things that probably will be available to see online. There might also be some sort of “score board”, with player scores reflecting many different game aspects.Although not entirely related, we are also working on a “Hero” system. Becoming a hero will require a lot of work. Heroes will act as human boss mobs, much more difficult for enemies to kill than ordinary players. People will know when a hero enters an area.
Aion First Closed Beta Comes on Oct 27th
Aion: The Tower of Eternity, a highly anticipated MMORPG will start closed beta in S. Korea at October 27, 2007, four days ahead of schedule.

NCsoft revealed that they will launch tests at weekends on a weekly basis. Each test will focus on a different subject. They hope, in this way the dev team can communicate more thoroughly with the testers.
The first closed beta test will be conducted on October 27th and 28th among the 200 selected forum members who actively participated in the events held on Aion forum.
The test server will be up for 10 hours each day from 12: 00 pm to 22:00 pm (South Korea Time). So testers can stay online for ten hours each day concentrating on testing the game.
NCsoft started to accept closed beta test application from October 24. From November 11th, more tests will be added.

Playing FlyFF
so i was playing flyff today for a bit, got to level 14 so far. at 15 i can do a class transfer quest and all the good stuff. at 20 i can fly woot ^^. I am not too much into the game, just something to kill time until the release of Aion. While I was playing Flyff, someone just came up to me and buffed me. I was amazed at how much differences the buffs makes, kinda reminded me of lineage 2 buffs. Now all i want are buffs, but i dont want to make another account just for buffs and for a game that I am not too serious for.
This a picture of me after my buffs, how much damage i am doing…

Buff: Head’s Up (level 20)

Buff: Cat’s Reflex (Level 4)

Buff: Cannon Ball (level 20)

Buff: Haste (level 20) Love this buff

Buff: Beef Up (level 20)

And this is without buff, only haste left :’(

Aion Notes
bunch of notes regarding how aion will be. I have just copyed and pasted from aionblah.com, i didnt write this and give all the credit to Mystic who had posted it on the forums there. Closed beta is very very very close by and cant wait for all the new content poping up.
FlyFF
well after tying numerous online games; farcry (fps), archlord, darken, rapplez, and a bunch of others which i can not remember atm, I finally am happy with FlyFF right now. Until Aion of course hits the shelves. Took Couple of screenshots of the game, its more cartoonish then anything, and its kinda cute. Still trying to figure out alot of stuff thou. I still havent figure out what class I want to play. I am leaning towards knight right now. As that is what I want to play in Aion, so might as well get used the boring grinding class.

Asmodians
there we go finally something to work with. Aionsource.com, Mark, finally got an image of the Asmodians. I was very happy to see something in regards to them. This is not an ingame pic of them, but an art work, which we can assume some stuff. Now its more like the Elfs, and Dark Elfs from Lineage 2. Cool. more stuff will be popping up as it is getting closer to closed beta. cant wait…
